To find out, simply visit a tool like iplogger.icu. The moment you load the page, your IP address will be displayed prominently at the top.

It will look something like this:

8.8.8.8

Public vs. Private IP Address

You actually have two IP addresses!

  • Public IP: This is the main one, the address the world sees. It's the one used by websites and online services. This is the IP you find using an online tool.
  • Private IP: This is the local address your router assigns to devices inside your home network. It usually looks like 192.168.x.x. It's not visible to the outside world.
